As a fragile ceasefire collapses along a disputed border in Southeast Asia, Fire and Rain International has confirmed team members are deploying to the region to provide emergency humanitarian assistance.
Airstrikes were launched this week following renewed military clashes. Civilians have been killed and hundreds of thousands of people have been ordered to evacuate from border areas. Families are fleeing with little more than they can carry.
"This isn't a distant crisis for our organisation — For some of our team this is their Home. They've made the decision to go and help their people. While families flee, our people are heading toward the crisis."
— Andrew Scarborough, Director
Our team members are providing emergency humanitarian assistance — food, water, shelter, and support for families who have lost everything in a matter of hours.
"When we say our team is on the ground, we mean right now. Today. At the border. First responders need first supporters."
— Andrew Scarborough, Director
